Waste
Commercial waste and collections, under proper control.
Waste contracts are easy to sign and hard to police. Rates rise on renewal, extras appear on invoices, and paperwork gets found only when it is needed. RMB&Co. manages commercial waste and recycling arrangements for UK organisations on an ongoing basis.
What ongoing management covers
The contract, the service and the paperwork.
One point of accountability across every site, so waste stops being a monthly invoice nobody has time to question.
Contract and invoice review
We read the contract you are actually on: term, notice period, uplift clauses, minimum tonnages, rebate arrangements and the charges that appear as extras. Invoices are then checked against it, including lift charges for containers that were not full and surcharges nobody agreed to.
Service-level oversight
Missed collections, wrong container sizes and schedules that no longer match how the site operates. We log the failures, take them up with the provider and hold them to the service you are paying for — rather than leaving site managers to chase depots.
Duty of care and documentation
Waste transfer notes, hazardous consignment paperwork, carrier licence checks and disposal evidence collected and kept current, so the records exist before anyone asks to see them.
Segregation and recycling improvement
General waste is the most expensive stream you have. We review what is going into it, where segregation is realistic and what change in containers, signage or collection frequency reduces cost as well as landfill.
Multi-site consolidation
Sites often inherit different providers, prices and schedules. We build one picture across the estate, then decide where consolidation genuinely helps and where a local provider remains the better answer.
Procurement and provider change
When change is warranted, we run the process: requirements documented, market approached, offers compared on total cost and service, mobilisation and container swaps coordinated so collections do not lapse during handover.
How we work
We are independent of collection providers and we do not run rate-only comparisons. Sometimes the right recommendation is to keep the current provider and fix the schedule, the containers or the billing. RMB&Co. holds Environment Agency waste registration CBDU603687.
Waste rarely sits on its own. It is managed alongside gas and electricity, facilities and property services and property compliance.
