Energy
Business gas and electricity, managed properly.
Energy is rarely mispriced once. It drifts — through an uncontested renewal, a billing error nobody checked, or consumption that stopped matching how the business runs. RMB&Co. manages business gas and electricity contracts for UK organisations on an ongoing basis, independently of any supplier.
What ongoing management covers
Procurement is one day of the contract. We manage the rest.
Everything below is included in ongoing energy management — not sold as a separate exercise each time something goes wrong.
Gas & electricity procurement
We start with your consumption, your sites and your contract end dates — not a rate table. Requirements are documented, the market is approached on your behalf, and offers are compared on the whole cost of supply: unit rates, standing charges, capacity, non-commodity pass-through and contract terms.
Renewal governance
Most avoidable energy cost comes from a renewal date nobody diarised. Every contract you place through us is tracked with notice periods, renewal windows and a scheduled review before the window opens, so decisions are made deliberately rather than by default or deemed rates.
Bill validation
Invoices are checked against the contract you actually signed — rates applied, meter reads used, standing charges, reconciliations and levies. Where a supplier has billed incorrectly, we raise it, evidence it and manage the query through to credit.
Consumption oversight
Half-hourly and interval data reviewed against your operating pattern, so unexplained overnight load, seasonal drift or a single underperforming site is visible while it can still be corrected.
Multi-site and portfolio management
One register of meters, supplies, contracts and end dates across every site — including the supplies acquired with a building and never properly recorded. Consolidation and aligned end dates where that helps; separate arrangements where it does not.
Change of tenancy, new connections and metering
Moves, new supplies, meter upgrades and disconnections handled with the supplier and network operator, with the paperwork chased to completion instead of sitting in a queue.
What we do not do
- No rate-only comparisons. A cheaper unit rate on worse terms is not a saving, and we will not present it as one.
- No sales calls. You will not be chased. Reviews happen at the point in the contract cycle where they are useful.
- No single-supplier loyalty. We are independent of suppliers and act for your organisation, which sometimes means recommending you stay where you are.
- No hidden remuneration. How we are paid is explained in writing before you commit to anything.
Energy usually sits alongside other contracts. Waste and collections, commercial insurance and wider utilities and commercial operations are managed the same way. See the case studies for outcomes.
